Thank you to my 2009 couples (Jan. – October) – Jacey and Ryan, Andrea and Allan, Kerry and Mike, Michelle and Adam, Sarah and Ryan, Steph and Dale, Bethany and Dan and Katie and Ben for letting me be part of their day. Congratulations and best of luck in the future.
Thank you for taking the time to visit the Steve Brooks Photography blog. Voting ends midnight Sunday, November 16, 2009.
For the second weekend in a row, I got to work with another great couple. This is the best job ever! Shannon and Kyle took me to Elmira and the very spot Kyle proposed. There was a lot of great locations to shoot, and the fall colours were awesome! 2010 is looking to be a great year for weddings.
Here we go. Our first 2010 couple – meet Kaysee and Fraser! We had a blast shooting in the Huron Natural Park in the heart of Kitchener. The light was gorgeous and the couple was super fun and relaxed. I really do love shooting engagement photos…I can’t wait til their wedding in 2010!
Wow, how time flies…. Just 2 years ago Rob and Jenn were our first wedding and now, they are our first Maternity shoot. Thank you guys for letting us be part of two big occasions!
We had so much fun with this shoot and can’t wait till for the newborn session!
The rain came but the skies cleared as Katie and Ben were married at Siegfried Hall in Waterloo. After the ceremony, we drove to the Huron Natural Area in Kitchener. Finally, bright blue sky and a great backdrop for photos.
Katie, Ben and the rest of their bridal party were open for anything. Thank you for playing along – the photos are great. It was the perfect way to end our summer 2009 wedding schedule.
Saturday’s wedding in Goderich was just as expected: beautiful. Located in the city that has been named “the most beautiful city in Canada”, Goderich, coupled with Bethany and Dan, is a photographer’s dream. From start to finish the bride, groom and wedding party were easy going and willing to do anything to get the perfect shot – including jumping in bare feet and landing on rocks! Congratulations Bethany and Dan, thank you for letting us be part of your special day.
It’s official….Steve Brooks Photography has gone international!
Carey and I just got back from Steph and Dale’s Minnesota wedding. What a great weekend – great weather, a great couple and great places to shoot. I finally got to see the famous “Spoon Bridge and Cherry” in the Minnesota Sculpture Park. After that must have photo we checked out the Stone Arch bridge – the very spot Dale proposed to Steph.
We were also treated to a U of M Golden Gopher football tradition with the victory walk to their new stadium. Talk about atmosphere! It was electric with the band, cheerleaders and all of the maroon and gold.
Thanks again Steph and Dale for your hospitality. A heartfelt congratulations from both Carey and I. Here are a few pics from the wedding.
I know I’ve said it before, and I’ll keep saying it…Our clients ROCK! Sarah and Ryan didn’t let a little rain get in the way of a great day. We got some great shots at The Broken Plate Restaurant in Port Dover under a covered porch. After that, we braved the rain and headed to Cranberry Creek in Lyndoch. This place was amazing – a must see venue for photos.
Here are a few of my favourites from today. Thanks a lot guys for letting us shoot your special day.
Early this week I met Baby Hayden and his mom Kristy. It’s nice to get out and stretch the photographic muscles on somehting other than a wedding at this time of year. Weddings are fun, but it is equally as fun to capture the bond between a mother and her son. I also want to give a little shout out to Kristy’s sister Sarah – thanks for keeping that curious dog entertained! He’s going to make a great gaurd dog for Hayden.
Michelle and Adam were married Saturday during a great ceremony on the beach in Goderich. Despite the wet start to the day, the weather turned right around. We made stops at the lighthouse, the beach and an old train station for some terrific photos.
