As hard as we try, we just can’t seem to stay on top of the blogging.  There are many events that have occurred in the last month or so that have been sitting on our “blog to do list” for some time now.  My goal is to update all of them in the next 24 hours!

A New Toy!!!

Just picked up a brand new Nikon 50mm f1.8 prime lens…WooHoo!

I know…a lens…Whoopty Doo! It’s a big deal. This lens has a wide aperture, meaning it can allow more light into the camera and as a result, we don’t need to use a flash as often. It is also a great portrait lens. The wide aperture also has great depth of field. This benefit allows me to blur out the background and keep the main subject in focus.

I think this will be a great lens for bridal portraits getting ready, and the odd detail shot. I can’t wait to put it in action at a wedding. For now, check out some photos I took under the light at the dinning room table. Pretty good I think!
